I have just finished a book by Amy Pascoe called ‘Don’t Faint Pray’. For those of you outside of Cornwall you may not know of this lady. Having grown up in Cornwall during my teenage years I came across her and worked for her family during a couple of Summer holidays on her son David’s farm.
The book tells the story of her life taken from a transcript from a conversation with her. It is a real treasure and speaks of how prayer makes a difference when we trust in Jesus and live for him.
It is easy to read and charts some of the life of Amy up until publishing this year, which is also her 90th year!
I recommend the book as it is somewhat like a modern day book of Acts from the Bible.
The book is 74 pages long and includes some of her poetry. It can be obtained from Wheal Metal Farm, Carleen, Helston, TR13 9NL. (Published by Ark Resources for The Barn Fellowship. ISBN 978-1-919662-20-6)
When I was researching about the book I came across a link to a school of evangelism which Andrew Giddens, the guy on the web link below talks about on Facebook. I then discovered his paintings of creation, especially the sea. They are awesome! Praise God for such talent!
