Here is another of those very vivid dreams which caught my attention February 2019.
What I recall was that we, the family and the Arnotts (wider family) had gone to the beach. One of those with a promenade behind it like Worthing. The sea was pretty normal looking. It was a bright day with not many people around on the beach. We had parked up.
I was just watching the blue sea and the surrounding beach. I was watching the Arnott family playing on the beach.
Then as I looked a strange peak developed on the sea. It was a wave but incongruous to the surrounding waves. It was higher and developed into a jelly like block moving up toward the beach.
At the point where it was higher than the surrounding sea I yelled. “Freak wave” and started pointing and going towards the family shouting. The Arnotts in particular were on the beach nearer to the wave. Not sure but I think Isaac was there too. I was so focused on the wave and saw it going right up the beach and didn’t want anyone to be in its way. (The scene went from right to left).
I looked with curious horror as it went towards the promenade. As I was side on to it I could see it was like a giant smooth surfaced, sharp edged, strangely shaped, opaque blue jelly. About the height of a regular house. A solid block! Moving up the beach by sliding at speed and then it hit the promenade. And the last I remember of it was it breaking over the promenade. I looked back to see that it had just missed the Arnott’s.
I remember seeing two people in the sea separate from one another standing looking out to sea. One of these people had been standing in the water nearby to the first freak wave.
Then I saw another of these waves forming and I think another!
I think I was so stunned by the waves and the subsequent ones I had seen I didn’t really take the detail in as I was still pondering their meaning!
Everything is going on as normal within the dream. Even going to the beach is a normal part of life, especially when on holiday. This is the place that lots of people like to go to when they relax. Yet even during holiday times we need to be ready for what Yahweh has to say to us. It can be too easy to let go of our guard at such times. The world was about to be turned upside down and taken from the normal to something else.
I have considered different parts of this dream at different times. The sense of warning was strong. Yet even though the warning was there a sense of something big and unexpected comes through which will have positive consequences. At the time that was not clear but is now.
The colour blue was very strong. It seems that this may have something to do with spiritual or heavenly matters. Matters of the kingdom if you like. Blue and purple in the Bible are related to royalty and priesthood.
Now consider the big blue jelly wave and remember that it is a freak wave. It is unusual. It is big and powerful. In the dream I am horrified by what it could do, terrified by its size, the energy and jelly within it.
Jelly can be categorised as a semi-solid. It bonds with water and is carried along by the wave in the dream. It appears from a little research that gelatin has health benefits. This wave is a carrier of something that can affect your health.
In our current situation with this coronavirus it could if we let it take us out. Yet I think this wave is bringing something greater on the back of what seems such a horrible thing.
Here’s a contrast; a wave of the sea can be likened to a wave of the spirit. This wave is carrying jelly which when looked at as a whole from my perspective was horrifying. The wave of jelly has an affect on health. In this instance it’s a negative affect as I was seeing something horrifying. That sounds like what’s happening now in the country’s of the world.
Now consider this the people who had the wave go over them are family. They represent three things. I will expand on this in the next post. The dream was very compelling and I would often come back to it, so much so on October last year as I was praying about it I had a second dream which I believe is related. (See the next post)
Some final words here. I think one of the key things that this dream conveys is watchfulness. The sense of being ready for what may come. Looking to the Lord in prayer. As kingdom people Jesus calls us to watch and pray. Watching is not passive but it does require waiting. Waiting requires listening and leaning in to what the Lord is saying.
The Watchman was someone who was posted on the walls of a city looking out to see what was coming. (See 2 Kings 9:18-20, Isaiah 21, Ezekiel 33 and Habakkuk 2 for example). They would convey news to those within the city. They were often there during the night as well. When I lived in Ghana people were employed to be outside someone’s house at night to make sure all was well and they would bring warning or chase off any threats.
Let’s be like Habakkuk and wait for what the Lord will answer and be ready to write down what he says and be obedient to his words. To hear is to obey.
To be someone who watches and is ready is to be forearmed. Be watchful in prayer. To be forewarned is to be forearmed.
Postscript
Maybe I’m wrong but sea and waves which are blue relate to spiritual matters. The fact that the jelly is in the wave masquerading as the wave says something about needing to be discerning of which spirit is delivering the current virus!
Hopefully I convey in the article that God can use this current freak wave, even though meant for harm from the enemy, God can use it for good but we need to pray in alignment with what the Holy Spirit wants, that good would come out of it not evil.
