When I was working in Ghana from January 1999 to November 2000 part of my work was to write reports about the literacy projects that the Ghana Institute of Linguistics, Literacy and Bible Translation (GILLBT) worked on. These projects were named after language groups found within Ghana. I also attended special ceremonies which celebrated the work of literacy and finished publications. These writings are some of those from that period. They are some of my earliest pieces.
